Dr Imran Gulamhusein is the Practice Principal and Principal Dentist at Headstone Lane Dental Practice, with over 20 years’ experience in dentistry and more than 13 years leading the practice. He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and is known for his calm, friendly manner and gentle approach.

Imran has a particular strength in treating nervous and anxious patients, including children — helping people rebuild trust, restore confidence, and feel comfortable attending again after difficult past experiences.

He believes dentistry should be as accessible and takes time to understand each patient’s priorities and agree a plan that is realistic, supportive, and focused on achieving the outcome they want.

Clinically, Imran’s interests include cosmetic and restorative dentistry, endodontics (root canal treatment), oral surgery, dental implants, and periodontal treatment (advanced gum disease management).

He is trained in the Invisalign® system and uses digital technology including CBCT, digital smile design, and intraoral scanning (TRIOS and iTero) to support accurate planning and predictable results. He also completed a year-long Simply Endo course (2021/22) and a Restorative Implantology course in 2025.

Imran speaks Urdu, Hindi and Gujarati, and also conversational basic Arabic.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys studying Arabic, exploring nature and the outdoors, and loves open-water swimming — currently training for a 10km open-water swim.
