It is the aim of this practice to provide quality dental care to our patients on schedule and to use clinical time effectively. To achieve this aim, we have an appointment cancellation policy.
Although we understand that things happen and schedules do change, we ask for the following:
- For any private appointments, failure to give us 48 working hours notice or failure to attend (FTA) for a scheduled appointment will result in a cancellation or no-show fee. Your deposit fee of £30.00 or higher depending on the complexity of the appointment will be taken for clinical time lost.
- For any NHS appointments giving less than 48 working hours notice will be put down as a failure to attend (FTA), should any existing patient FTA 2 times or more they are removed from the NHS list.
Our clinics do run on Saturdays, however for the specific purpose of cancelling appointments, we will deem working hours to be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
As an example, to cancel an appointment booked for Monday 3pm, you will be expected to inform us before 3pm on the preceding Thursday.
It is understandable that sometimes cancellations cannot be helped due to emergencies, and we will take all valid circumstances into account.
Our goal in communicating our cancellation policy is to avoid any extra charges being passed on to the patient.
We thank you for your support and understanding.
From Jan 2023 the practice will now take a £30.00 deposit to reserve the time for all routine dental or hygiene appointments. The deposit payable may be higher depending on the complexity of the procedure of your appointment.
The deposit paid will be put towards your treatment cost. Deposits will be refunded if appointments cancelled more that 48 working hours notice.
We thank you for your support and understanding. We hope this will allow us to improve our level of customer care.
